where once happy places may stood

now barren thoughts collide 

happy places don't exist

only happy thoughts

happy memories

happy people

going to a falsehood doesn't fix

it only delays

those that make us happy do

to them should we go

not to lies, but to the eyes

that give us meaning and hope

let them fill us up
